I am new to iMac. I am used to using Adobe Acrobat for Windows to create pdf files. In Acrobat, when you scan a page, you have the option to add the page to an existing pdf file.

I know how to use the Scan feature on Print & Fax to create pdf files on the iMac. I can not figure out how to make a pdf more than one page (unless I use the document feeder to scan in a multiple pages at once.) When I use the flat bed scanner, I can not figure out how to scan another page into the same file. I also can not figure out how to add another page to an existing pdf file.

Or, if you have the full Adobe app, you can add comments. This will put a box around each number, and you'll have to live with the fact that you can't make them all the same size (the boxes) or place them all exactly at the same spot on each page. Click on the opposite master page where you want the page number to appear. Draw a text box and type Ctrl + Alt + P (Windows) or Command + Option + P (Mac). A page number marker appears on each master page— LM on the left master, RM on the right master. You can add page numbers by going to the Tools pane, Pages panel, under Edit Page Design select 'Header and Footer' then in the pulldown select Add Header or Footer. In the dialog for that you can click the button ( middle of dialog) Insert Page Number and fill that out as you want it. Tiny scroll bar. For example, if you select to add your header to just the odd pages then instead of using 1, 3, 5, etc. You can refer to them as 1, 2, 3. Update (): Two new features added to this too: You can now specify just the total number of pages in the file as a parameter, and also specify the distance of the text from the edge of the page. Click Combine Files, and then click Add Files to select the files you want to include in your PDF. Click, drag, and drop to reorder the files and pages. Double-click on a file to expand and rearrange individual pages.

It does not appear Adobe Acrobat is available for the Mac, just Adobe reader. If it was, I would just buy that. Does anyone know how to do these two things, or a program that can? You don't know how to do it any way other than the way that it works? I also can not figure out how to add another page to an existing pdf file. Open a PDF in Preview, show the Sidebar, and drag another PDF onto the document icon in the Sidebar. It will change into a multi-page document icon.
